“Growth begins with awareness of strengths and limitational gaps. Gaps are not a roadblock; they are the path to opportunities and greatness.” Dr. Martha Rader, 2021

Problem

The pressure of work, deadlines, and change can affect leaders’ interpersonal skills and limit positive influence and success

Although your leaders may be technically savvy and have a high intellectual ability, if they don’t have good interpersonal or “emotional intelligence” skills, it could be destructive and harm many financial indicators

Many leaders may not be aware of hidden biases and blind spots that adversely affect relationships, team effectiveness, morale, diversity and inclusion, decision-making, turnover, and other productive outcomes

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is an essential leadership skill with elements that enable managers to positively influence others that can result in improved engagement, higher performance (CLL: Clarke & Mahadi, 2017), and satisfaction (Whiteoak & Manning, 2012) and that can have a positive effect on turnover (Wong & Law, 2002) and financial performance (CLL, 2015). Positive outcomes can also result from the cost of attracting, recruiting, and training new hires.
